   If a domestic company charges brokerage fees or conducts business activities through lottery ticket purchases, the company and its related parties may face criminal liability. Therefore, customers who purchase lottery tickets through domestic intermediaries may also be subject to penalties.

   Operating a foreign lottery ticket brokerage business through a domestic company in Korea is clearly illegal, and related companies cannot avoid legal responsibility.

   However, this applies only to companies established and operating in Korea. Overseas, there have been many companies operating foreign lottery ticket brokerage businesses for over a decade.

   ✔ Prize Collection Support (Advance Payment for Airfare/Accommodation)

   2nd Prize (over $1,000,000):
   - Airfare for up to 2 people (economy class)
   - Accommodation for up to 2 months at 3–4 star hotels
   - All expenses are initially covered by the company and reimbursed by the member after prize collection

   1st Prize (over $10,000,000):
   - Airfare for up to 2 people (first class)
   - Accommodation for up to 2 months at 5-star hotels
   - All expenses are initially covered by the company and reimbursed by the member after prize collection

   ✔ Legal and Accounting Support
   Our legal and accounting teams assist members with the prize claim process at the lottery authority.
   - The review process for prize payout takes approximately 4–8 weeks.
   - Winnings are transferred to the member’s designated personal bank account upon completion of the review.
   - All legal and accounting expenses are initially covered by the company and reimbursed by the member after prize collection.

   Taxes and payout deadlines for winnings follow the laws and regulations of the country (U.S.) and the lottery operator.

   A. Federal and State Taxes for Mega Millions and Powerball Winnings
   If you win the Mega Millions or Powerball lottery, you are required to pay federal and state taxes. In Arizona, where iLottoU conducts lottery ticket brokerage, the following tax structure applies:

   1. Winnings under $600 USD are not subject to any taxes.
   2. Winnings over $600 USD are subject to a 24% federal tax withholding, with an additional 4.5% Arizona state tax, resulting in a total tax of 28.5%.

   For large 1st and 2nd prize winnings, the same 24% federal tax withholding and 4.5% state tax apply. However, because these prizes are substantial, additional federal taxes may be due up to the top federal tax bracket of 38% during the tax filing for that year. In such cases, winners may need to pay the remaining 14% on top of the withheld 24%.

   In the case of large 1st or 2nd prize winnings, it is expected that the winner may be subject to the top personal income tax rate of 45% under Korean tax law. However, under the Korea-U.S. Tax Treaty, the 38% tax already paid in the U.S. can be credited against the tax due in Korea. Therefore, the winner may be required to pay the remaining difference of approximately 7% to the Korean tax authorities.

   Since there have been no cases of high-value lottery winners from Korea so far, the exact amount of tax is uncertain. However, the above rate is expected to be applied as a guideline.

   - End: Every year on the first Sunday of November at 2:00 AM → clocks are set back to 1:00 AM.
     As a result, the time difference with Korea changes from 16 hours to 17 hours, and the U.S. lottery drawing time in Korea is delayed by one hour, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
